Idols SA has been renewed for a brand new season ’16’ and so we will be hitting up a city near you as we scour the nation for stunning new voices to uplift and inspire.

How to Apply and Register for VOTING on Idols SA
Voting for Idols SA is actually available through three, official platforms, these include
- Official Idols SA website
- Official Idols SA mobile site and
- SMS
Voting on the Idols SA official website and mobile site is completely free, but first, you’ll need to create an account and that’s ONLY if you haven’t already. Registered voters, don’t need to re-register and if you’ve forgotten your password, consult the Voting FAQs article for tips on how to reset it.
How to Registered on the Official Idols SA website
Registering on the IDOLSSA.TV website: A guide for Laptop/Desktop Users
- You can register to vote on the Idols SA official website – www.idolssa.tv
- Click on the Vote menu item. You can also navigate to the VOTE page using the link, www.idolssa.tv/vote
- Click on REGISTER and enter your Name, Surname, Year of Birth, Gender, Cellphone Number in the international format e.g. +27731896142, and your Preferred password.
NOTE: Please make sure to pick something you’ll remember when voting opens.
- Enter your OTP
- Once registered, you will be able to vote.
- You do not have to register again if you have already voted on a previous Idols season or M-Net Voting Production.
- Website votes are free.

- You will receive an OTP (One Time Pin) via SMS.
- Enter your OTP
- Once registered, you will be able to vote.

- Select your favorite Contestant.

How to Registered via SMS
And finally, as a reminder, voting via SMS will work the way it always has and does not require registration of any sort. Simply text your favorite contestant’s number to 37400. SMSs still cost R1.50 each and you can vote up to 100 times.

- To VOTE for your favorite contestant, SMS their number to 37400
- SMS voting is limited to 100 votes per user.
- Each SMS vote will cost you R1.50
- Free SMSs do not apply.
Voting opens on Sundays either at the top of the show or during the live broadcast. it will be communicated explicitly both on-air and on our social media platforms that the lines are open.
Voting will close on Tuesdays at 10:00 PM unless there is an extension to the voting period which will also be communicated.
